Manistee, Michigan - A new flag will soon fly high over one of Manistee
County's fastest growing business that has attained another important milestone!
Northpoint Precision, Inc., located at 855 Parkdale in Manistee has attained its certification of registration signifying its conformance with the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) 9001:2000 requirements. The registration applies to the precision machining of production components for the automotive, military, industrial and aerospace markets. “ISO 9001:2000 is a set of quality management standards and our job in attaining certification was to demonstrate how those standards are being met by our company,” said Martin Nelson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Northpoint Precision. “The standards require us to develop and follow detailed procedures for record keeping, product design, product development, product purchases, quality monitoring, problem identification and correction and much more. Because of the products we produce and the customers we supply, it is essential that we set and maintain high quality standards. This achievement is a tribute to our growing ranks of employees.” Formed in 2002, Northpoint Precision's products range from highly technical fixtures and tooling to high volume production of parts for the automotive, military and aerospace industries.
